Jeff Anderson began his career at McFarlin in 1978.  As the senior partner, he manages the growth, development, and profitability of the agency. A graduate of UMBC, Jeff resides in Western Howard County with his wife and two Labrador retrievers.  When he’s not assisting his clients, he coaches basketball for the Special Olympics. He enjoys kayak fishing, golf, Orioles baseball, and spending time with his adult children and grandchildren.

Dwight Crone, CPCU

A native Washingtonian, Dwight Crone entered the insurance industry as a territory manager with the Aetna Casualty & Surety Company after graduating from George Mason University in 1985.  He joined McFarlin Insurance in 1988, becoming a partner in 1992.  He enjoys working with his property and casualty clients, managing the agency’s contract surety operations, and serving on a number of not-for-profit boards and committees.  He is also very active with his church and the Baltimore Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  For fun, Dwight spends time with his family fishing, camping, kayaking, and golfing.   

Nancy Small, CRIS

In addition to being a partner, Nancy Small is also the office manager and commercial lines manager at McFarlin. She started her insurance career at McFarlin in 1995 – working during her summers breaks from college. Nancy is active with the alumni associations with Notre Dame Preparatory School and Washington College, and volunteers at Our Daily Bread. She resides in Ellicott City with her husband and their cocker spaniel. Nancy enjoys traveling, golfing, going to the movies and spoiling her nieces.

J. Matthew Anderson, CIC, AU, AIS

After working as a territory manager for a regional insurance carrier, Matt began working at McFarlin in 2010 and became a partner in 2016. His responsibilities include business development and marketing for the agency. He is active in the community, serving on the Howard County Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals board, the Howard Technology Council, and volunteers with numerous non-profit organizations. A graduate of Towson University, Matt resides in Ellicott City with his wife and their two young daughters. In his free time he enjoys live music, Orioles games, and long distance running.
